Meet Sylvana

Sylvana has spent twenty-five years on the Saint-Tropez peninsula. She speaks Dutch, English and French. She knows which villa has the best evening light, which beach club won’t let you in if you’ve turned up the wrong way, and which baker has the only proper tarte tropézienne still made by hand. She is the entire reason this site exists.
Twenty-five years on the peninsula
Sylvana arrived in Saint-Tropez at the end of the nineties and has worked in private rentals here ever since. She has visited every villa in our collection, met every owner, and stood in most of the kitchens. She has helped first-time visitors find their feet and helped families return to the same villa for fifteen consecutive summers.
She is not a sales person. She is the one who tells you, gently, that the villa you’ve fallen in love with online is in fact a forty-minute drive from the village and you might want to think again — or that the slightly less glamorous one in Les Salins is precisely what your family needs.
Her favourite places
- Les Salins — quieter than Pampelonne, the locals’ beach. Pine trees down to the water. Easy parking.
- Tigrrr — a small dinner spot. Try and book; tell them Sylvana sent you.
- Place des Lices market — Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Get there before nine.
- Domaine de la Madrague — wine, terrace, view. Late afternoon is perfect.
